We might even define “skibidi toilet” at the end too.
How is working with top Instagram influencers different from working with smaller creators?
Working with top Instagram influencers is different because of the following:
Reach and audience size: Top influencers have a much larger following than smaller creators, allowing your brand to reach a broader audience. However, smaller creators often have a more niche and engaged follower base.
Cost: Collaborating with top influencers means they require extra dough due to their large following.Smaller creators are usually more budget-friendly.
Speed and communication: Working with top influencers often feels like jumping through hoops, which can make the process a bit slower. In contrast, smaller creators usually offer quicker response times and more direct communication.
Engagement: Smaller creators are known to have higher engagement rates while top influencers have lower engagement rates due to their lage following.
Tips for working with top Instagram influencers
There are a few things to keep in mind when working with top Instagram influencers. Here are a few of the big ones:
Understand their brand.
Before reaching out to an influencer, take the time to thoroughly research their content, style, and the type of audience they attract. This means diving into their past collaborations to see how they’ve represented other brands and assessing whether their vibe aligns with your brand’s image and values.
Understanding an influencer’s brand goes beyond their follower count. You also have to look at their tone, visual aesthetics, and the way they engage with their audience to determine whether they are a good fit for your own brand’s identity. This research helps you approach them with a tailored pitch that shows you’ve thoughtfully considered why they’re the right partner.
Be clear and specific.
When it comes to influencer collaborations, clarity is key. From the outset, be as detailed as possible about your campaign’s goals, the expectations you have for the partnership, and the specific deliverables required. Whether it’s the number of posts, the style of content, or the timelines, laying everything out clearly helps prevent misunderstandings and sets the stage for a smooth collaboration.
Provide influencers with a comprehensive brief that includes your brand’s messaging guidelines, any non-negotiable elements, and examples of content you admire. This level of detail ensures that both parties are aligned from the beginning and make communication much more efficient and effective.
Offer creative freedom.
While it’s important to provide clear guidelines, allowing influencers the creative freedom to interpret and present your brand in their unique voice is equally critical. Influencers know their audience better than anyone and have built trust with them through authentic, relatable content. By giving them the flexibility to craft their own message within the framework you’ve set, you enable them to create content that feels genuine and resonates with their followers.
Offer long-term collaborations.
Consider structuring your partnerships with top influencers as long-term collaborations rather than one-off campaigns. Long-term partnerships allow influencers to build a deeper connection with your brand, which is the key to more impactful endorsements. Over time, their audience will start to recognize them as true advocates for your brand.
